Terms of Service

Last updated: Oct 11, 2025

Hey there! Welcome to Poly. Before diving in, please take a moment to read through our terms. They're pretty important.

By using Poly, you're agreeing to these terms. If anything here makes you uncomfortable, we're afraid you won't be able to use our service.

1. Who Can Use Poly?

You need to be at least 13 years old to use Poly. If you're under 18, make sure you have your parent or guardian's permission. By using our service, you're confirming that you meet these age requirements.

Oh, and you need to have the legal ability to agree to these terms. If you're using Poly for a company or organization, you're confirming you have the authority to bind them to these terms too.

2. What is Poly?

Poly is a chat platform where you can talk with different AI assistants. Each assistant has unique capabilities to help with various tasks - from brainstorming ideas to providing information.

We're constantly working to improve Poly, which means features may change, new ones might appear, and sometimes we might need to remove stuff that isn't working out. That's just part of making Poly better for everyone.

3. Your Account

You'll need to create an account to get the full Poly experience. Just make sure the info you provide is accurate. And please, for the love of all things digital, use a secure password!

Your account is yours alone. You're responsible for keeping your login details safe and for anything that happens on your account. If you think someone else has gained access, let us know right away.

If we think something fishy is going on with your account, or if you've violated these terms, we might have to suspend or terminate it. We don't want to, but sometimes it's necessary. In this case, you are not guaranteed a refund.

4. Content & Conversations

When you chat with our AIs, you own the text you send. But by using Poly, you're giving us permission to use your messages to provide and improve our services. That means we might analyze conversations to make our AIs smarter or fix issues when they give weird responses.

Specifically, you grant us a license to store, use, and process your content to provide and improve Poly. Don't worry - we're not claiming ownership of your creative ideas or personal information.

Note: We trust you to be reasonable with what you share. Don't send anything illegal, harmful, or that infringes on someone else's rights. And remember, while our AI assistants are pretty smart, they're not perfect. Don't use them to make critical decisions without double-checking their information.

5. The Limits of AI

Our AI assistants try their best, but they sometimes get things wrong. They can hallucinate facts, misunderstand what you're asking, or occasionally say inappropriate things despite our best efforts.

Don't rely on Poly for medical advice, legal counsel, financial decisions, or anything else where incorrect information could cause serious problems. Think of our AIs as helpful but imperfect conversation partners, not authoritative experts.

We're constantly working to make them better, but they'll never be perfect. That's just the nature of AI.

6. Please Don't...

There are a few things we don't allow on Poly:

  1. 1.Breaking the law or helping others do so
  2. 2.Harassing or being creepy to our AIs (yes, that's a thing)
  3. 3.Trying to hack our systems or using bots to access Poly
  4. 4.Sending spam or setting up scams
  5. 5.Creating harmful content like malware or phishing schemes
  6. 6.Pretending to be someone you're not
  7. 7.Sharing your account with others - one account per person, please
  8. 8.Collecting data about other users
  9. 9.Anything that could interfere with other people using Poly

Note: We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these guidelines. We don't want to do that, so please play nice!

Keep in mind: Accounts that break our rules will not be refunded.

7. Your Privacy

We care about your privacy. For the full details on how we handle your data, check out ourPrivacy Policy. It covers what we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data.

8. Our Stuff

Poly itself – the software, design, logo, and all that good stuff – belongs to us. Please don't try to copy it, reverse-engineer it, or use our brand without permission. We worked hard on it!

All the trademarks, service marks, logos, and trade names displayed on Poly are owned by us or our licensors. We're proud of our brand identity, and we need to protect it.

9. Third-Party Services

Poly might include links to or integrate with services provided by other companies. We don't control these third-party services and aren't responsible for their content or practices. Your interactions with these services are between you and them.

10. Ending Your Relationship With Poly

You can stop using Poly anytime. If you want to delete your account, let us know. We might also need to terminate accounts that violate our terms or have been inactive for a very long time.

Important: Again, if your account gets terminated because you broke the rules, we won't be giving refunds for any unused subscription time or credits.

11. Responsibility Stuff

We provide Poly "as is," without warranties. We'll do our best to keep everything running smoothly, but sometimes things go wrong. We're not liable for damages resulting from your use of Poly.

In plain English: we're working hard to make Poly great, but we can't guarantee it will always be perfect or accept liability for issues that might come up when you use it.

Our total liability (if any) is limited to the greater of: the amount you paid us in the last 12 months minus your usage. This is a standard limitation that helps us provide Poly to everyone.

We also want to note that we can't be responsible for data loss. While we work to keep your conversations secure, we recommend not relying on Poly as the only storage for critical information. It's always best to keep important content backed up elsewhere.

We may occasionally need to modify or temporarily suspend Poly (or certain features) for maintenance, updates, or other reasons. We'll try to provide notice when possible, though sometimes we may need to make changes quickly for security reasons.

12. Legal Responsibility

By using Poly, you agree to defend and indemnify us if someone makes a claim against us related to your use of our service, your content, or your violation of these terms. This means if your actions lead to legal issues for us, you'll help with our defense.

In the event of any legal dispute between us, you agree not to participate in a class action lawsuit/ lawsuit against us. Instead, disputes will be resolved on an individual basis. This helps us manage risk and keep Poly available for everyone.

13. Resolving Disputes

If there's ever a disagreement between us, we'll try to resolve it fairly and informally. If that doesn't work, these terms are governed by applicable laws, and legal proceedings would take place in the appropriate courts. We hope it never comes to that, though!

14. Changes to These Terms

As Poly evolves, so might these terms. We'll post updates here and let you know about significant changes. Continuing to use Poly after changes means you accept the new terms.
